Who the hell is [Kelsey Celek]?

Full given name: Kelsey Ann Celek

Hometown:  Springboro, OH

Zodiac sign:  Pisces

First Broadway show ever saw: Hairspray

If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? Company

MAC or PC?   I use a PC, but covet every MAC I see…

Most played song on your iPod: I had to look this up.  Sadly, it’s a track of me reciting my lines from the last show I did.  Yep.  I’m a cool kid.

Must-see TV show: Modern Family, 30 Rock, and…wait for it…LOST.

Performer you would drop everything to go see: Kristin Chenoweth

Pop culture guilty pleasure: I am little ashamed of this…Gossip Girl.  It is the bacon of TV shows: really bad for you, but you still crave it.  I don’t watch this delicious high-calorie treat every week, but it doesn’t matter because after the first two minutes you’ve figured out who’s sleeping with who and then you’re set.

Web obsession: Hulu.  I clearly have a television problem.

Favorite movie: The American President. Pretty sure I can recite it.

Worst costume ever: Not sure there is a single worst, but I’ve done a lotta time in a corset.  I really like being able to move my ribs…and breathe…

Cats or dogs?  DOGS.  My fam has an English Springer Spaniel named Libby.  Which is short for Libretto.  ‘Cause we’re cool.

First stage kiss: In an acting class in high school, doing a scene from Talley’s Folly. Pretty sure I only did the actual kiss once.  I was so nervous!

Worst onstage mishap: In Honk!, the underwater number involved people on skates and scooters.  I slipped off my scooter (which promptly flew off the side of the stage) and landed on my fanny.  I managed to keep singing, but giggled to a point where you couldn’t really understand the words.  Everybody still learned how to swim, though, so it was okay…right?  Right?

Who would play you in a movie?: Will Hutcheson.  He’s got the biting wit and the ginger locks.

Leading role you’ve been dying to play: Harold Hill. Not kidding.  It’s a childhood dream. (PS – I like how apparently none of us desire to play roles of our own gender…)

Favorite [tos] moment so far: Whenever the boys hit a pretty high note in music rehearsal.  I lurve me some girly falsetto.  Makes me giggle lots.

Who the hell is [Will Hutcheson]?

Full given name: William Thomas Hutcheson

Hometown:  Kettering, Ohio

Zodiac sign:  Capricorn and Aquarius Cusp

First Broadway show ever saw: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with the original cast. Loved it. I got them all to sign my playbill, if you know what I mean.

If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? Secret Garden. I’m obsessed.

MAC or PC?   MAC. I use it to make the videos and my website too, www.willhutcheson.net

Most played song on your iPod: Jack Johnson’s “Better Together”

Must-see TV show: LOST. Also Weeds, 30 Rock, Modern Family, and Ellen. Anything smart and funny. Like me.

Performer you would drop everything to go see: Liza Minelli, Whoopi Goldberg, and Ellen DeGeneres

Pop culture guilty pleasure: Kathy Griffin’s “My Life on the D-List” and “True Blood”. Both trashy and delicious.

Web obsession: blogs. I can’t stop reading them. Especially celebrities’ They make my stalking so much easier.

Favorite movie: The Color Purple and Sister Act. Both Whoopi movies…

Worst costume ever: I once wore a vest without a shirt underneath it and hadn’t shaved my chest. It was for “Age of Aquarius” in Hair. Arts Gala. I hope theres not a video of that floating around somewhere. Also, anytime I’ve had to grow a mustache.

Cats or dogs?  Both. My parents have adopted both and treat them like they’re their children since I’ve left. They love them more because they poop outside and don’t have as much laundry.

First stage kiss: No idea. I’m a playa.

Most embarrassing stage moment: When I was in West Side Story at Wright State University I played Baby John. One night during the Anita rape scene I had forgotten to put on the whiteie tidys provided for me by the costume shop. They pulled down my pants and I was hoisted into the air. Only a flesh colored dance belt in front of a full house. I remember everyone on stage’s faces. I didn’t fake cry. It was real. I still get made fun of for it to this day.

Who would play you in a movie?: Hunter Bell, Ron Howard, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, That kid from “Zombieland”, Rupert Grint, or myself because I need the work.

Leading role you’ve been dying to play: Celie in The Color Purple

Favorite [tos] moment so far: Staying up way into the wee late hours making each other laugh till we pee even though we have school the next day.

Awkward Photo Shoot

So the Wright State tossers gathered today for our very own awkward photo shoot.  Here are the fruits of our labor.  Please enjoy.

"Awkward photo shoot."

"I feel hot. I'm giving you 'broken doll.'"

"Why am I not in any of these pictures?"

"We'll rock hard with only four chairs!"

"Yay! Party line!"

“Who the hell is [Laura LaCara]?”

Full given name: Laura Elizabeth LaCara

Hometown:  Huntington, WV

Zodiac sign:  Capricorn

First Broadway show ever saw: Thoroughly Modern Millie starring Sutton Foster. She signed my playbill and I was so excited I pretty much had an anxiety attack on the streets of New York.

If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? Sweeney Todd with Angela Lansbury and [title of show], of course.

MAC or PC?   MAC. I used mine to create my website, www.lauralacara.com (mmm, shameless plug).

Most played song on your iPod: Ingrid Michelson’s “The Way I Am.”

Must-see TV show: LOST. And Bones. When will they be together!? Gah!

Performer you would drop everything to go see: Bernadette Peters

Pop culture guilty pleasure: ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and it’s spin-off Private Practice, but only because I then narrate the intense drama through song.

Web obsession: icanhascheezburger.com. I am a sucker for pictures of kittens with captions.

Favorite movie: I am unashamed to say that it is Titanic with Kate and Leo, followed closely by The Sandlot.

Worst costume ever: Back in my early days of children’s theatre, I played a rhinoceros in Peter Pan. I wore a hot pink onesie that was made 2 inches too short in the arms and legs and included a hood with a horn and a tail made of sparkly streamers. In addition to this my entire face was painted pink and when we ran out of face paint we used lipstick instead. I’m pretty sure my face was pink for a week.

Cats or dogs?  Cats. My family has 3, all of varying intelligence, one of whom lost a toe in the great Thanksgiving debacle of ’05. Poor cat, he misses that toe.

First stage kiss: Boy: Josh Butcher in Fiddler on the Roof as Hodel and Perchik. I was 14 and he was 22. It was intense. Girl: Kelsey Celek…

Worst flubbed line: In WSU’s Sweeney Todd I kept forgetting lines in “By the Sea.” Instead of singing about “sunny suites for guests to rest in” all I could think of was to squeal “Ooo, Mr. Todd” and then some how found my way back into the song. I will never live it down.

Who would play you in a movie?: Julia Roberts, Debra Messing, Kate Winslet or any other curly headed vixen with determination.

Leading role you’ve been dying to play: I’m still waiting for my shot at Jean Valjean.

Favorite [tos] moment so far: Learning the finale in Alex’s room during our first read-thru. Also, you all better get ready for the second episode of  the the [title of show] show show…

*(lovingly ripped off from Playbill’s Cue and A)

Full Given Name: Christopher Vincent Feil

Hometown: Columbus, OH

Zodiac sign: Cancer

First Broadway show you ever saw: Into the Woods with Vanessa Williams

If you could go back in time, what Broadway show would you see?: Angels in America or Parade

Most played song on your iPod: “All I Want” by Joni Mitchell

Favorite showtunes: “Not A Day Goes By” from Merrily We Roll Along, “Lot’s Wife” from Caroline, or Change, and “I Can Do Better Than That” from The Last Five Years

Performer you’d drop everything to see: Bette Midler, the esteemed JJ Parkey, and, of course, my [tos]mates!!!

Web obsession: JigsawDoku

Favorite TV Shows: “LOST”, “LOST”, “LOST”, and “LOST”! And, of course, “30 Rock.”

Favorite Movies: “Eternal Sunshine…”, “Harold and Maude”, “Edward Scissorhands”, the list could go on and on…

Favorite board game: Quip It!

Worst onstage mishap: During Perestroika, the book wasn’t pre-set in the suitcase, so I had to play the whole scene lugging around this giant suitcase. Hilarity, but it worked, I guess.

First stage kiss: Girl: Oklahoma! (Krista Craven’s Ado Annie to my Ali Hakim). Boy: Millennium Approaches (JJ Parkey’s Louis to my Prior)

Worst flubbed line: The entirety of my first Shakespeare audition… yeahhhhhhh…

Pre-show rituals: I like to get to the theatre way before everyone else, get the vibe of the place on that day…

Pets’ names: We just got a mini-Schnauzer named Wally! Plus our two ferocious kitties Lucy and Lila

Who would play you in a movie?: Cate Blanchett!!!… why not?

Leading male role you’ve been dying to play: Leo Frank in Parade and, when I’m old enough, George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Leading female role you’ve been dying to play: Sally Bowles in Cabaret

Favorite [tos] moment so far: Every second spent singing “Nine People’s Favorite Thing” with those three geniuses!
